[Alliance] WOD Garrison quests bugs raport - part 1

Garrisons Lvl 1 Quests


Below is the first report on bugs revealed during the execution of quest lines / tasks at level 0 and part of 1 level of the garrison.
Some of these errors are critical and prevent de facto expansion of the garrison or make difficult to move within WOD regions.
On days I will post next package of information from further quests.
Due to the creation of group error reports often related to each other (quest lines - dependence on the Garrison), I will not break every error into separate posts. I think that putting them together - in one post will facilitate the repair, because I will not have to refer to separate topics - to other topics, and even several others.

- You must start with the fact that the Dreanor map displays the tag of available quests for stages that are not currently active. For example, when approaching a given tag on the map (for example Garrison Campaing - The Sargerei or for example Deep Recon) I do not see the quester in the place of the tag (this is due to the lack of completed garrison quest line - These characters appear only after the garrison has been erected)

- I also noticed that I can have relatively few quests downloaded at once - probably 20. At Blizzard, this limit was increased to 25 when implementing Burning Crusade.Source - https://wow.gamepedia.com/Quest_Log
- And most obscured problem - In a number of Dreanor locations, the character is dropped from the mount shortly after ride (I noticed it, e.g. MoonFlower Valley or Eventide Landing, Plains of Serenity, Ragnari Enclave but other too)

1. Quest: Establish Your Garrison.

It wasn't until the second attempt to talk to the quester (Baros Alexston) - after taking the quest again - that I managed to generate the Garrison. At the first take of the quest, despite the conversation and the end of the quest, the status of the quest still indicated the need to talk to Baros Alexston and the garrison did not appear. Between the first execution of the quest (with the problem) and the second taking and successful completion of the quest - I logged out and logged in again with the character on the server.

2 Quests :
- Pale Moonlight (https://wow.gamepedia.com/Pale_Moonlight)
- The Southern Wilds (https://www.wowhead.com/quest=35450/the-southern-wilds)

After confirming them, the quest information windows do not close (as if the system was still waiting for accept / reject although my character quest has started).
In case of characters from the quest Keeping It Together (Assistant Bridgestone), the interaction window visible in the movie is not displayed (clicking the mouse on the character performs this part of the task)
Also, clicking on the Shelly task does not pass the subtask. We get the Shelly report in the bag but the task is not passed.

3. Quest: Bounty Twisted Ancient

The outline of the target's area of movement is barely visible on the HUD map, while the entire stroke area should be covered in blue (this can be seen in the video).
Killing the target only after the fifth killing generated a corrupted lumber for me to take - which is a condition of completing the quest .

4 Quest : New Goods

Reaching the target NPC does not end the task. I am not convinced whether the quest should be available at an early stage of garrison creation.

5. Shadowmoon Invasion and other invasion quests
Sergeant Crowler offers invasion quests at a very low garrison level (1 level), which should be available rather later. This can be seen in one of the movies.
At this stage, this quests - for example - Shadowmoon Invasion quest from the shore is not working. Talking to the quester again will not start the quest.

6. Quest: Things are not goren our way

The quest is available at garrison level 1 (NPC Timothy Leens near mine entrance), although the mine is not yet available - still closed entrance.
To my knowledge, the mine has not been available since the beginning of the garrison, and thus the quest should not be available at this stage.

7 Quest: Proving ground

After taking the quest - NPC does not respond to the attempt to talk - no option to start the quest.
Presumably the quest should not appear on the lvl 1 garrison - because the descriptions rather indicate its implementation at higher levels.

8. Quest Migrant Workers

Gump quest doesn't close after its acceptance.

9.From A Hero's Welcome to Bigger is Better quest line (and barrack buildings).

a) There was a problem with this quest line, however, as my 110 lvl test character did not meet Yrel in the Garrison at the start line (a A Hero's Welcome quester). She should stand by Gryphon's master, but she is not here. (Https://www.wowhead.com/quest=33075/a-h ... ome#videos)
After all, following her footsteps to Yrel (without quest) in Embaari Village, which, however, she saying that "we're safe now". As if the quest line related to the threat is already over.
Next to the ground was the target character Samara, who offers - right away - the Dark Enemies quest - which is the second quest in the line.
It looks as if for some reason the server skipped the first quests from the line - A Hero Welcome. So I returned to the Garrison, and there with the GM command I activated the quest A Hero's Welcome (https://www.wowhead.com/quest=33075/a-h ... ome#videos).
Yrel didn't appear next to me, so I flew Griphon to my destination and I finished this quest correctly here. Samara (target quester) is here on the ground - as if dead, and she should squat next to another NPC.

b) When performing the next two quests

I noticed that killed opponents often have the same sets of items after killing, e.g. all Shadowmoon killed had the Joy of Dreanor Cooking and First Aid recipes in their loot.
Generation is probably a wider problem, because in the initiating WOD quests (Dark Portal and subsequent from this line) I encountered similar situations on a group of opponents.
While performing the Dark Eniemies quest - NPC characters located in the village where the enemy raid takes place (houses next to the portals) do not react to the attack and do not fight - while in the Blizz movies you can see that they are trying to defend against the attack.

Also here, friendly NPC characters are standing in the attacked area and are not fighting Shadowmoons - which is visible in the movies. They stand still even when they are caught in fire.

d) Quest Shadow Awaken

On the video you can see how Yrel runs after the player's character when we attack an enemy champion. Additionally, when the champion appears, they diverge from him - as if his companions, who attack standing next to us - friendly NPCs
On the emulator, Yrel only appears next to players during the story animation and the champion spawns himself - without minions effect, and stay in spawn location.

e) Quest The Clarity Elixir

f) Quest Going Undercover

After receiving the quest obn Blizz as the first - and the only task at the beginning - you should display a conversation with Sylene standing next to him to collect the masking amulet (the name is in Russian on EMu). Only after it has been received should a set of subtasks consisting of placing the load in several places of the enemy camp should appear:
Explosives planted at supply hut
Explosives planted at main lodge
Explosives planted at the chieftain's seat
Explosives planted at the training pit

On Emu - the first subtask does not appear as tagged, immediately the map directs us to the enemy camp.
The description of the quest on Wowhead points to 4 goals, while on Emu in the list of goals - gave me only two: training pit and main lodge.
What's more, using the camouflage amulet does not change the appearance of the player's character or our status towards campers - who should treat us as their own and attack us (the video shows how it should look) but we cannot loot them.
Only after placing the mines under the first 2 targets, on Emu appears to us (in the mission gump) information about the next 2 and about the goal of obtaining the camouflage talisman.

I could not collect loot from killed opponents in this quest (due amulet and broken camuflage?). As if the server did not identify the changed description of the task as the basis for assigning my active quest character.

g) Iron Horde Propaganda

I found such leaflets during the quests for lvl 1 Garrison but instead of the texts in their content was only the record "Greetings Fenris". They were all highlighted on the game screen.

h) Quest: Escape from Shazgul.

After reaching the hidden Yrel and inspiring her to fight, there are explosions in the camp. At Blizzard, a number of enemies from our hiding surroundings run deeper into the camp. On Emy most stay here.
Additionally, during the escape the enemy should try to stop us. In the film you can see how Yrel fights opponents trying to catch us during the escape. On Emu Yrel runs unstoppable and does not fight anyone, but the opponent attacks the player (and only the player's character). Yrel is still running.
After running outside the camp, and before completing the quest, a big wolf stands on our way on Blizzard, which you must defeat. He doesn't show up on Emu.
Only after completing these quests and returning to the Garrison - NPC Balos Alexton offers the quest to build the 1st level of Barracks. Thus, the tagging of the act of barracks on the spot.

However, this is not the end of the problems with the barracks - because after the deadline for their construction, there is no floating act visible in the film

and enabling the finalization of barracks - completing the Finalize Your Plot subtask (and Finalize Your Barrack quest - look at point 10)
Similarly, such a floating act, allowing for the finalization of construction, did not appear at another Storehouse building commissioned at the same time, which is presumed to be the problem in general for every Garrison building being erected.

Unstable, despite killing over a hundred Shadowmoon Stalkers, I did not score a single Hides.

Shortly after reaching the place (after an army escort), I cursed at the NPC standing next to me and was transferred to the end of the mission, where Yrel immediately offered me a reward and another quest.

13) Quest A Burial Fields

The mechanics of this quest are definitely damaged. Every now and then I received messages about an additional bonus task in this region, but only shortly after each such message counted killed opponents. As if the status of the quest and counting "got lost" when moving the player's character.

14) Quest: Ancestors Memory

When you reach the target cave, small demons float in the air, which are not on Blizzard. You can also meet them on the way from the garrison to this location. They are inviolable.
In the Emu Cave, however, you can't see the fog floating on Blizzard

This zone is still on the list for future remake and assessment. I will update when we get to active remake and fixing.
I will be completely upfront with you. There are a messload of phasing issues with both WOD Garrisons and quests lines in WOD. It may be a while before we decide to get to it

As for the problem with moving on the pet - if it occurs in ShadowmoonValley but in another WOD zone - Talador - not anymore.
Similarly, there is no problem in Talador with the disappearing and emerging status of area quests (as described in point 13).
